Product Development Engineer

Product Development Engineer (Java+CI/CD+Angular or React+Scala)

• Client: Japanese Enterprise Client
• Location: Banani, Dhaka (On-site)
• Experience Required: 10+ years in Python, React/TypeScript, and GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, etc.)
• Salary: BDT 170,000 – 200,000 per month
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Weekly Holidays: Saturday & Sunday

This position involves working on large-scale platforms across B2B, B2C, and C2C domains, such as SaaS, HR services, matching apps, and media platforms. You’ll collaborate with a Japan-based team, using modern technologies and functional programming principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Write backend code using Scala 3 and functional programming.
• Frontend Development: Develop frontend applications using Angular (18-20) and Ionic Framework for progressive web apps (PWA).
• Serverless Development: Use AWS Lambda for serverless backend services.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Create and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Collaboration: Work with the Japan-based team and communicate in English.
• System Maintenance: Ensure the systems are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

Technology Stack:

• Backend: Scala 3, Cats Effect, http4s, Tapir, doobie, circe (functional programming tools).
• Frontend: Angular (18-20), TypeScript, Playwright, Ionic.
• Infrastructure: AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB), Docker, GitHub Actions (for CI/CD).
• External Integrations: Auth0, Salesforce, Firebase, OpenSearch.
• AI Tools: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with statically typed languages like Scala, Java, or Kotlin.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with functional programming (e.g., Scala, Haskell, F#).
• 2+ years of experience with modern frontend frameworks like Angular or React.
• 1+ year of experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to communicate in English in a technical context.
