Head of Operations

Position Details:

• Designation: Head of Operations / Senior Manager / AGM

• Department: Operations (Production & Plant Management)

• Reports To: Managing Director

• Type: Full-Time

• Position: Mechanical Engineer

  • Location: Head Office (HO) based

  • Salary Range: 100k to 150k

  • Education Requirement: Graduate from a top university

Education:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

• Preferred: Master’s degree (MSc/MBA) in Operations or Industrial Management.

Experience:

• Required: 10–12+ years of progressive experience in operations, production, or plant management.

• Preferred: Proven experience in line hardware, steel manufacturing, transformers, or similar industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Production Management:

   • Oversee entire production and operations processes, including hardware, galvanizing, and electrical manufacturing.

   • Ensure optimum utilization of labor, machinery, and materials for production efficiency.

   • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure on-time delivery as per client specifications.

2. Planning & Budgeting:

   • Prepare and monitor monthly and annual production budgets, including materials and cost estimations.

   • Conduct regular reviews of production schedules, capacity, and cost efficiency.

   • Forecast production needs, costs, and market demand.

3. Process Improvement & Compliance:

   • Implement process improvements, machinery upgrades, and new technologies to enhance productivity.

   • Ensure adherence to ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

   • Take steps to reduce breakdowns, wastage, and energy consumption.

4. Leadership & People Management:

   • Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to ensure high performance.

   • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

   • Handle local stakeholders, government officials, and external auditors.

5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

   • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality control, and finance departments.

   • Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and third-party stakeholders.

   • Address external challenges, including political/local pressures and regulatory issues.
